Usability Testing Services

You can argue about a design forever, or you can watch five people try to use it. Usability testing replaces opinion with evidence: real users attempting real tasks in your product, so you see exactly where they hesitate, get stuck, or give up, and why.

Deliverables

What you get

Evidence, not opinions

Recordings of real people using your product, and a clear account of where each one struggled. The debate about whether a flow is confusing ends when you watch someone fail it.

Problems ranked by how often they hit

Every issue weighed by how many testers hit it and how badly it blocked them, so you fix the thing costing you users first, not the thing that annoyed one person.

Fixes, described concretely

Not just what is broken, but what to do about it, written for the people who will build the fix. And because I build too, the harder ones can come back as a working example.

Process

How it works

01

Define the tasks

We pick the flows that matter, signup, checkout, the core loop, and write the real tasks users will attempt, framed the way a real user would think about them.

02

Test with real users

A handful of representative users attempt the tasks while thinking aloud. Most serious usability problems show up within the first few sessions, so this is fast, not a quarter-long study.

03

Report and prioritize

You get the findings ranked by impact, the clips that prove them, and a concrete list of fixes, so the result is a decision, not a folder of videos nobody rewatches.

From $4,000

A focused round of usability testing on one or two core flows starts at $4,000, including recruitment, sessions, and a prioritized report. Ongoing testing is scoped separately.

FAQ

Common questions

What is the difference between usability testing and a UX audit?

A UX audit is an expert reviewing your product against known principles, with no users required. Usability testing is watching real users attempt real tasks. The audit finds what an expert predicts will break, the test finds what actually breaks. They are strongest together.

How many users do you need to test with?

Fewer than most people expect. The majority of serious usability problems surface within the first five or so sessions, so a focused round is fast and affordable, not a months-long research programme.

Do you need a finished product to test?

No. You can test a prototype, a staging build, or the live product. Testing earlier is usually cheaper, because you catch the problem before it is built into production and expensive to change.

What do we actually get at the end?

A prioritized list of the usability problems found, the clips that prove each one, and a concrete recommendation for fixing it. The goal is a clear decision about what to change, backed by evidence you can show the team.
